A message to the SANDEMANs travel community

Coronavirus Update

SANDEMANs is taking a short break.


At SANDEMANs, our mission has always been to help travelers discover some of the world’s best cities with fantastic local guides. Yet while we are passionate about our mission, the safety, health and wellbeing of our staff, guide partners and valued guests will always be our principal concern.

As governments around the world continue to react to the COVID-19 outbreak, we have temporarily suspended operations in all 20 cities for the next few weeks.

This is an incredibly sad time for us – there have been guests on SANDEMANs FREE Tours every single day since 2003.  Yet while our red umbrellas might temporarily be down in these incredible cities, we’ll be ready to put them straight back up as soon as it’s safe to do so.  We look forward to once more welcoming smart travelers back to be informed, entertained and inspired by the amazing local guides we work with.

Finally, our thoughts are with those affected by illness, and with the emergency and local health authorities working tirelessly at this time. To everyone in the SANDEMANs travel community, please stay safe.


Refunds and rebookings:

If you already have a ticket for a SANDEMANs tour, it will remain valid until you are able to travel again. Alternatively, it can be swapped for a voucher for any one of our 20 cities, and that voucher will remain valid for two years. For those requiring refunds, please get in touch.

Whether you have booked a tour with us or are currently planning one, we’re here to help. Our Customer Service team operates 365 days per year, 9am to 6pm Central European Time, and speaks English, German and Spanish.
