After leaving my home town of Southampton in the UK 11 years ago and travelling through 93 different countries, it was Amsterdam that I finally decided to make my home. Throughout my years of travel, I have studied various periods of European history and as a guide here in Amsterdam, I like to look at the overlaps of history with our neighbouring countries to help build a better understanding of Europe's fascinating past (both the good and the bad), and how it has made Amsterdam become one of the most visited cities in the continent. I'll show you this city has more to offer than just the red light district (but don’t worry….we will visit that too...!)
