3 PLACES TO EAT IN FRIEDRICHSHAIN

OUR PICKS

Schneeweiss

Sample a fine selection of German and Austrian food at Schneeweiss. If you’ve got the appetite for it, order the huge Wiener Schnitzel, or indulge in homemade ravioli or seasonal dishes such as rump steak with mushroom sauce.

Datscha

You will find Datscha, or ‘country-home’ in Russian, right in the center of the neighborhood. There is a large selection of soups, blinis, wareniki, pelemeni and hearty main courses such as the steak “Kiev” and the beef stroganoff. If you’re a late riser don’t worry, the brunch at Datscha is an incredibly popular way to start a lazy weekend and served until 4pm.

Burgeramt

If you’re craving a succulent burger, you’ll strike gold with Burgeramt on Boxhagener Platz. Do be prepared to wait around 20 minutes to be seated during meal times, but you can pick up a beer at the kiosk next door while you wait.

4 PLACES TO EAT IN KREUZBERG

OUR PICKS

Chai Yo

Rich authentic Thai flavors, friendly service, fresh ingredients and bilingual menus with fair prices.

Curry 36

This is a popular stop for many Currywurst fans. You’ll often find a bit of a crowd here but they serve you very quickly (also a good snack to have while waiting in line for your kebab).

Mustafas Kebab

This is widely known as the best kebab in Berlin, we tend to agree. The line is outrageous but by the time you get one in your hand you will definitely be hungry and ready for it.

Burgermeister

Another famous classic of Berlin. Housed in an old public men’s toilet, this place now makes some of the most delicious burgers around. Maybe it’s something in the water?

4 PLACES TO EAT IN PRENZLAUER BERG

OUR PICKS

Al Hamra

Good Middle Eastern food, cozy setting and water pipes. The brunch on Sundays is a great deal!

Maria Bonita

Come with an appetite and you will surely be satisfied by a cheap, incredible authentic homemade Mexican meal.

The Bird

Burgers like they do them in New York! A bit more expensive as compared to other burger joints but your belly will thank you!

Konnopke’s Imbiss

For those on the hunt for the best Currywurst in Berlin, this is a strong contender! Enjoy it under the railway tracks and watch the trams go by.
