Susan

Susan moved to Berlin from Canada to learn the lovely language of German.  After, like most people, she discovered that German is extremely hard to learn she decided to get a job speaking English.  She gained a Master’s degree in Classical Archaeology and excavated for a few summers in Greece, Turkey and predominantly Italy.  She has since traded ancient coins and columns for World War II rubble and cold war relics and has discovered that talking about modern history in the place where it happened is ultimately more fascinating than teaching in a classroom.  She likes coffee, beer and books and on her days off she can be found lying on the grass of one of Berlin’s many green park spaces.
