Clink78

A refurbished 200-year-old courthouse, where Charles Dickens worked and The Clash stood trial!

ABOUT

We love Clink, not only because of the incredible historical building, but also because the family who owns it are super, super cool.

When you stay at Clink 78, you'll truly experience that this was a former courthouse, either by chilling out in the fantastic common room (formerly the court room), having a drink in the Clash Bar (named for the fact that The Clash stood trial here!) or even if you choose to stay in one of the original prison cells, complete with barred windows downstairs!

For those who'd rather not spend a night in the slammer, there are private rooms and dorms upstairs that don't have bars on the windows, with reading lights, lockers, and in some dorms, en suite bathrooms and privacy curtains.

Explore the city with free maps and a free walking tour leaving directly from reception, before you come back to relax or meet new friends in the bar, connect with your loved ones back home with the free Wifi, or enjoy the board games, pool table and table soccer.
