International Women’s Day Tour of Munich

Celebrate the female heroes that have shaped Munich's history!

ABOUT THE International Women’s Day Tour of Munich

From saints to comedians to brewers, there is no doubt that women have transformed Germany into the country it is today. Join us as we explore some of the memorials, locations, and statues around Munich that commemorate these great women.

Our special International Women’s Day Tour celebrates the female heroes who have shaped our history!

Learn about the life of actress Liesl Karlstadt, a comedic icon in Bavarian and whom Charlie Chaplin was a big fan of. Toast to the success of Therese Wagner, owner Augustiner-Brau that has grown to become one of the most popular (and tasty) beers in Germany. Marvel at the accomplishments of Princess Therese of Bavaria, who was a world renowned botanist, traveller and the first woman to get a honorary degree from the Bavarian Academy of Sciences and Humanities.
