International Women’s Day Tour of Edinburgh

Celebrate the female heroes that have shaped Edinburgh's history!

ABOUT THE International Women’s Day Tour of Edinburgh

From queens to suffragettes to writers, there is no doubt that women have transformed Scotland into the country it is today. Join us as we explore some of the memorials, locations and statues around Edinburgh that commemorate these great women.

Our special International Women’s Day Tour celebrates the female heroes who have shaped our history!

Learn about Elsie Inglis, a pioneer doctor and the founder of the Scottish Women's Hospitals and the brilliant Edinburgh Seven who were the first female medical students at the University of Edinburgh. Listen to the tragic life of Mary, Queen of Scots, who was forced onto the throne at the age of six and died a heroic victim. Follow the footsteps of J.K. Rowling, one of the greatest and most recognised writers of our time.
