International Women’s Day Tour of Dublin

Celebrate the female heroes that have shaped Dublin's history!

ABOUT THE International Women’s Day Tour of Dublin

From struggles to achievements, from revolutionists to trailblazing journalists, there is no doubt that women have transformed Ireland into the country it is today. Join us as we explore some of the memorials, locations and statues around Dublin that commemorate these great women.

Our special International Women’s Day Tour celebrates the female heroes who have shaped our history!

Learn about the courageous Veronica Guerin, who was murdered by drug lords in retaliation for her fearless reporting (and was played by Cate Blanchett in the film about her life). Hear about Sister Margaret Anna Cusack, a staunch Irish nationalist whose writings on social issues spread throughout the world. Discover Constance Markievicz, a suffragette who also took part in the Easter Uprising of 1916, and was the first woman in the world to hold a cabinet position.

€2 from every ticket sold will be donated to a national women's charity based in Ireland!
