FAQs

Answers to our general questions

Reserve or pop along

Reservations for the FREE and select tours are not strictly necessary, unless your group exceeds 10 people. However, on days with a particularly high demand, priority will be given to those with online bookings, and any remaining spaces will be allocated on a first-come, first-serve basis. If you are wanting to have a private tour, reservations are a must.

Rain or shine, our tours will run

The FREE Tour and the select tours run year-round, in all weather, and also on public holidays.

Is there a maximum number of people allowed on a tour?

Theoretically, there is no maximum number of people allowed on the tours, as we will always try to ensure that we have as many freelance guides at the start point as necessary to accommodate all guests. However, on particularly busy days, it is possible that we may limit the number of places we offer to ensure that the group sizes remain manageable, safe and enjoyable. By booking online for the FREE Tour, not only will you help us with our capacity planning, but your online booking will ensure that you are given a space on the tour, provided you are there at least 10 minutes prior to the scheduled start time.  Groups of 10 or more are required to book at least 24 hours in advance to assist with this capacity planning.

What time do I need to show up for my tour?

Please try to arrive for your tour 10 – 15 minutes before the allotted start time. In doing so you ensure that the tour can leave on time and subsequently you get more time with your amazing guide. If you arrive late your place maybe given to another guest.

Do the FREE Tours include the entrance fees to the places of interest?

The FREE tour does not visit any places that require an entrance fee.

Do you offer Spanish tours?

At this stage our regularly scheduled tours are unfortunately only available in English. However, we are also able to offer Hebrew tours to private groups with enough advanced notice. To enquire about booking a tour in Hebrew, please contact our Private Tours department, pt[email protected] or call us on +49 (0)30 510 50030.

Are the tours wheelchair accessible?

The Old City is filled with uneven cobblestones, and the tours go up and down a large number of steps. For these reasons, unfortunately accessing our tours with a wheelchair can be very challenging. We apologize for any inconvenience or disappointment caused.

How long?

The FREE Tour of Jaffa is roughly two hours long, while the Tel Aviv City Tour is about 2.5 hours long. However, your freelance guide may adjust the tour length depending on the comfort and interests of your group.
