A 24 CZK transportation ticket is required for the Castle Tour. We kindly ask you to purchase it in advance to ensure that the tour runs smoothly.

This three-hour tour is a more in-depth version of our Appetiser City Tour. Your guide will take you on a journey through the Golden City, the City of a Thousand Spires; for centuries Prague has been sweeping visitors off their feet with its romantic streets, soaring towers, and great beer! From the heart of medieval Bohemia to the capital of the Holy Roman Empire, the glory days of Prague's rich culture are shadowed by oppression, under both the Nazis and the Communists. Beside - and sometimes under- the flowing Vltava River, the Czech capital captivates, inspires and moves like no other city.

We have include a short break to you to have quick coffee or a warm cup of tea, and maybe even enjoy it with a local sweet like the Czech rolled pastry, "Trdelník". Should you rather skip it you may, as we said before… on a Private Tour, you are the boss!

This tour covers:
  • Old Town Square & Astronomical Clock
  • View of Charles Bridge
  • House of the Black Madonna & Museum of Cubism
  • Church of Our Lady before Týn
  • View of Prague Castle
  • Rudolfinum – Czech Philharmonic
  • Old New Synagogue & the Golem
  • Art Nouveau Municipal House
  • St. Nicolas' Church
  • Old Jewish Quarter
  • Wenceslas Square
  • WWII – Prague Uprising
  • Statue of Jan Hus
  • Powder Tower

Our recommendation: Highly recommended to join during your first day in the city!

What do you want to do after the tour? The tour usually ends close to the Rudolfinum, which is very close to Charles Bridge. Should you like to continue discovering the city, you can continue with our Prague Castle tour which you can discover by yourself or with your private tour guide (Private Castle Tour route below).

Prague Castle dominates both the skyline and the history of the Czech capital like no other building. The world’s largest medieval castle has towered over the city since the 9th century and continues to awe and inspire today. The Castle, Pražský hrad, is a world unto itself with dozens of hidden corners and surprises. The remarkably harmonious ensemble of contrasting styles is the product of generations of gifted architects, culminating in the 20th century with the forgotten genius of Jože Plečnik. Our guides bring to life the legendary court of Rudolf II, the nightmares of Kafka and the very real struggles of the Velvet Revolution.

During this three-hour tour, we explore Malá Strana, dotted with the former palaces of the nobility and wander beyond the castle gates through picturesque Hradčany to show you the best views of the city. The tour finishes in the Prague Castle gardens, overlooking the Old Town.

This tour starts at Jan Palach Square. You have the option to take the tram (tickets to be bought in advance) or walk up the hill to the Castle. Your private tour guide will help you buy tickets to enter the Castle and will accompany you to the first part of the cathedral. We don't enter the palace, although you can buy tickets and visit it on your own after the tour.

This tour covers:
  • Prague Castle
  • Old Royal Palace
  • Malá Strana – the Lesser Quarter
  • Hradčany – the Castle District
  • St. Vitus' Cathedral
  • St. Nicholas' Church
  • Amazing panoramic views
  • History of Dukes, Kings and Emperors
  • St George's Basilica
  • The Deer Moat
  • The Black Tower
  • The last judgment mosaic
  • Czech president's residence

Our recommendation: This tour covers the Castle surroundings area and grounds, your guide will help you purchase the tickets to get inside. Please note that due to security reasons, the obligatory security check line may hold us up for about 5 min. However, in very exceptional occasions, this could take up to 1 hour.

Just one hour outside of Prague lies Terezín, a magnificent former 18th century Austrian fortress with a terrible past. When the country fell into Nazi clutches it became a Gestapo prison, a Jewish ghetto and a deportation camp sending trains directly to Auschwitz. Terezín was used in Nazi Propaganda as a model camp to downplay the atrocities committed in concentration camps.

Terezín's story is a combination of life and death: the tragedy of the Holocaust contrasts with the prisoners' secret celebrations of culture, politics and faith. Terezín is a sleepy little country town that hardly seems likely to have been one of the centers of the Final Solution. However, your expert private tour guide will tell you all about the stories behind the statistics and bringing the past back to life. We show you the memorials and share with you the often forgotten stories of the former ghetto and its prisoners on this unforgettable trip.

This tour covers:
  • The Columbarium
  • Jewish prayer room
  • The Crematorium
  • Red Cross visit
  • Famous prisoners
  • Former railway tracks
  • Former SS Camp Headquarters
  • Former Gestapo Prison Cells
  • Former Ghetto Guards Station
  • Former seat of the Council of Elders
  • Former Jewish Dormitories
  • The Austrian Fortress
  • Terezín in Nazi Propaganda
  • Terezín and the First World War

Our recommendation: You may want to bring a packed lunch or alternatively your guide will present you affordable and tasty local alternatives where you can eat. Although there is no age limitation to join this Day Trip to Terezín, due the mature nature of the tour, we would not recommend it for children under the age of 13. Should your agenda allow it, we would not recommend taking the tour on a Saturday, as the Crematorium is closed.

Just one hour outside of Prague by private bus, lies this gem of Bohemian history, home to much more than pyramids of skulls and bones. It was the economic powerhouse of the Kingdom of Bohemia and played a crucial role in the 15th century Hussite Wars.

Today Kutná Hora is one of the most popular destinations in the Czech Republic because of its amazing collection of historic buildings, including the ghoulish Sedlec Ossuary, the Gothic masterpiece of St. Barbara's Church and the splendour of the Italian Court. Kutná Hora's rich heritage was born in the days when the city competed with Prague both economically and culturally, becoming the favourite residence of several Bohemian kings. How did it gain such a status? Kutná Hora produced a third of Europe's silver, and created the 'Prague Groschen' – the hard currency of Central Europe at that time.

This tour covers:
  • The Sedlec Ossuary (Bone Chapel)
  • Chandelier and coat-of-arms made of human bones
  • Saint Barbara's Church
  • Life of miners and minters of the 15th century
  • Hrádek Castle
  • The Hussite Wars
  • Bohemia's oldest Cistercian Monastery
  • Saint James' Church
  • The Italian Court - Royal Mint
  • The Jesuit College

Our recommendation: You may want to bring a packed lunch but note your guide will present you affordable and tasty local alternatives where you can enjoy lunch. Although there is no age limitation to join this Day Trip to Kutná Hora, due the mature nature of the tour, we would not recommend the tour for children under the age of 13.

This  four-hour beer tour, will reveal the best-kept secrets of the national drink - learn how Czech beer is made, why it is considered the best in the world, and why the Czechs drink more than anyone else.

Our experienced guides will provide you with local insights and take you to three authentic pubs; each specializing in a different Czech beer.

This tour includes:
  • Explore Prague's lively bar scene with your Private Tour guide
  • Get expert tips and city insights for the rest of your vacation
  • Visit Prague's best-loved taverns
  • Sample some of the world's finest beers and learn how they are made
  • Visit 3 authentic Czech pubs

Please note that smoking in pubs is still allowed in the Czech Republic. Whilst we always try to book a space in non-smoking areas, it is possible that on particularly busy days, the group may be seated in a smoking area.

During the tour you might want to order additional (not included in price) beers or food, feel free to ask your guide for recommendations.

Our recommendation: If you are travelling alone or in a small group, we would highly recommend you to join our regular Beer Tour; here you can meet other travellers looking for a enjoyable evening! Should you be travelling with more than 15 people and prefer a Private Beer Tour with a guide just for your group, we would be delighted to organise it for you!
