Mari

Mari

Mari was born in Móstoles (also known as Brónxtoles), a dormitory suburb of Madrid but moved to the capital when she was 10. Maybe it was because she spent her childhood living in the street “Pintor Picasso” that she decided to study History of Art due to her real passion for culture. Madrid is the perfect place to explore all kinds of culture: from the impressive artworks held at the Prado, Reina or Thyssen museums to the cosmopolitan street culture of Lavapiés or the “hipster” district of Malasaña.

After a visit to Edinburgh in 2008 she fell in love with “bonnie” Scotland and settled down there for 3 years where she showed her passion for the country to visitors as a tour guide. It was probably her love for art, her nostalgia of sunshine, tapas, family, friends and general homesickness which urged her to come back to her beloved Madrid and start a Masters in Modern Art at the Reina Sofía museum. This time she decided to show her own city to visitors where she can speak about the secret places that you can´t find on the internet.
